Geography-specific opportunities 

West and East Africa: Microsoft and GreenHouse Labs have partnered to launch Microsoft Scale Up Accelerator, a program for startups that are pre-series A and are looking to launch in new markets. The 8-week accelerator will provide participating start-ups with access to new markets, technology infrastructure, technical skills, and funding opportunities to scale their solutions. Apply here.

South AfricaGrindstone South Africa Accelerator is taking applications from high-growth innovative startups looking to scale. The program will provide accepted businesses with training, corporate advisory, coaching, mentorship and funding. Apply here.

Somalia and SomalilandInnovate Accelerator Program is seeking ambitious startups operating in the Somali region for its three-month program. Participating startups will receive training, mentorship by domain experts, access to an extensive business network, visibility, and a chance to get investment. Apply here.

Pan-African opportunities 

The Baobab Network is taking applications from early-stage startups for its sector agnostic technology accelerator. The Baobab Network offers startups $25,000 in funding and two years of tailored support in exchange for 10% equity. Apply here.

The ShEquity Business Accelerator is taking applications for the second cohort of its 16-week program focused on enabling female-led and owned businesses achieve investment readiness. Standout businesses will be recommended to the ShEquity investment team for seed funding consideration ranging between $50,000 to $250,000. Apply here.
Deadline: May 6, 2022

The annual Africa Business Heroes competition is accepting applications from African entrepreneurs  making a difference by working to solve the most pressing problems, and building a more sustainable and inclusive economy for the future. Applications are open to entrepreneurs from all African countries, all sectors, and all ages who operate businesses formally registered and headquartered in an African country and have a 3-year track record. Finalists will participate in a grand finale pitch competition for a share of $1.5 million in grant funding. Apply here.
