Geography-specific opportunities 

The Catalytic Opportunity Fund is seeking applications from innovators with models that can advance the introduction and scale-up of “new and lesser used reproductive health products” in 27 listed African countries. Selected innovators will be eligible for up to $250,000 in funding to implement proposed solutions. More information and a list of eligible countries is available here.

Pan-African opportunities 

Open Startup, in partnership with AfricagrowBpifranceGO Ventures, and AfricInvest Group, is accepting applications to its GROW 2023 program. Selected startups will participate in a 12-month, pan-African investment readiness program designed “to fuel the growth of startups across the region.” Apply here.
Deadline: Aug. 31, 2023 (Closing Soon)

Applications are open for the Google for Startups Accelerator: AI First Program which seeks to support African startups leveraging AI technologies to address local challenges. Startups based in Africa or developing Africa-centered solutions will have access to Google’s AI expertise, Cloud Platform resources, mentorship, and networking opportunities. Deadline: Sept. 6th, 2023

ASIP Accelerator Program is seeking African startups disrupting major industries for its fourth cohort. Among other sectors, digital health startups are eligible to apply. Participating startups will receive $18,000 in cash, and $750k+ in access credits from leading technology providers such as AWS, Google, GitHub, and more. Pitch Club, an initiative by Bayer G4A, is inviting applications from digital health startups seeking to pitch their solutions to digital health experts, venture capitalists, potential customers, and more. More information is available here.

International Finance Corporation is accepting applications to She Wins Africa, a program offering online and in-person workshops, training, pitching, and networking opportunities to help women-led startups operating in sub-Saharan Africa access financing. More information is available here.
