Geography-specific opportunities 

NigeriaFSDH Women in Business Initiative in partnership with International Finance Corporation and WEAV Capital is accepting applications for the Female Founders Growth Programme. Women-led tech startups will participate in a six-week virtual accelerator and investment readiness program, and receive non-equity grants of $10,000. Apply here.

Ghana, Nigeria, Senegal, Kenya & South Africa: Applications are open for the MEST Africa Challenge which seeks to support early-stage startups with funding and mentorship opportunities. Selected startups will receive $50,000 in equity and become part of MEST Africa’s community. More information is available here.

Pan-African opportunities 

Applications are now open to become a member of the Million Lives Collective (MLC). The collective which is implemented by Results For Development, Villgro Africa, E&K Consulting, and Insight Health Advisors, seeks to support its members with access, collaboration, and funding opportunities from potential adopters and scaling partners among the MLC network and beyond, to further enhance their impact. Apply here.

UNICEF Venture Fund is seeking open-source frontier technology solutions that address issues in children’s health, nutrition, and mental health. Early-stage companies who are registered in any UNICEF programme country have the opportunity to access up to $100,000 in equity-free funding. Apply here.

USAID Development Innovation Ventures program is accepting applications from innovators with breakthrough products, technologies, services, or applications for global and social impact. Innovators can receive between $200,000 – $5,000,000 in grant funding, depending on the solution’s maturity scale and evidence base. More information is available here.

Madica, a structured investment program by Flourish Ventures is looking to invest up to $6 million in 30 pre-seed stage startups across Africa. Startups will participate in a 12-18 month support program. More information is available here.
