East AfricaVillgro Africa is accepting applications from Eastern African medtech startups for a six-month accelerator program for companies that are developing medtech solutions. Selected startups will gain access to mentorship, funding opportunities, and support to scale their solutions. More information is available here.

North Africa: The Women’s Health Accelerator Program by Flat6Labs and Organon seeks to provide growth support to femtech startups offering family planning, fertility planning, and women’s wellness solutions. Selected startups will participate in a 3-month virtual program with tailored training sessions, and support to build products, test market fit, and improve business models. More information is available here.

Algeria, Botswana, Cameroon, Côte d’Ivoire, Egypt, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Morocco, Nigeria, Rwanda, Senegal, South Africa, Tanzania, Tunisia, Uganda, and Zimbabwe: Applications are open for the Google for Startups Accelerator: Africa program. Selected innovators will participate in a 10-week accelerator program and receive technical support from Google’s network of industry experts, among other benefits. Apply here.

Pan-African opportunities 

The African Union Development Agency (AUDA-NEPAD) in partnership with the Japan International Cooperation Agency is inviting growth and mature-stage healthtech companies working to strengthen Africa’s disease preparedness and response capability to participate in the Home Grown Solutions Accelerator for Pandemic Resilience initiative. Selected innovators will receive technical support to develop a customized five-month acceleration roadmap as well as advisory services, investor readiness, and matching support. Learn more about this opportunity.
