Geography-specific opportunities 

Zambia: Applications are open for the Standard Chartered Women in Technology Incubator program, which seeks to support women founders with training, mentorship, and seed funding of up to $10,000. More information is available here.

Côte d’Ivoire, Malawi, Mauritania, Namibia, Senegal, Uganda, Zambia: Applications are open for United States African Development Foundation‘s 2024 African Women Entrepreneurs Program. Selected women-founded ventures will receive grants of up to $100,000. More information is available here.

Ethiopia, Kenya, Nigeria, Senegal, Uganda: The 2024 Chat for Women’s Livelihoods Accelerator is seeking applications from innovators working to empower women economically, including innovators providing essential mental health services and healthcare support to women through digital chat solutions. Selected innovators will participate in a comprehensive 3-month training program, receive mentorship from experts, and access technology resources. More information is available here.

Pan-African opportunities 

Because Accelerator Program is seeking applications from early and mid-stage startups with innovative and ground-breaking solutions that address social impact issues. Selected participants will participate in a 16-week virtual training program and compete in a pitch event for up to $100,000 in funding. More information is available here.

The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and other Grand Challenges partners are seeking transdisciplinary innovations to address challenges at the intersections of climate, health, gender, and agriculture. Successful proposals will receive up to $200,000 for a period of two years. More information is available here.

The GSMA Innovation Fund for Humanitarian Challenges, is offering £100,000 – £250,000 in grants and additional non-financial and technical support to projects that leverage mobile and digital technology to pilot and scale solutions that address humanitarian challenges in low- and middle-income countries.  Apply here.

The Qualcomm Make in Africa Startup Mentorship Program is seeking applications from early-stage startups to participate in an equity-free mentorship program. Startups will receive business coaching and guidance on product development and intellectual property rights and protection. Learn more.
